Order of Jane Austen Books

Jane Austen (1775-1817) was an English novelist renowned for her romantic fiction, particularly her esteemed works such as Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. Her writings are imbued with social commentary, rendering her historically significant and ensuring her legacy endures nearly two centuries after her passing. Little is known of Jane as an individual; despite having penned 3,000 letters, a mere 160 have survived. Throughout her relatively brief life, she saw the publication of only four novels, in addition to a short story entitled Lady Susan, along with poems, letters, prayers, and youthful compositions. After her demise, two further novels—Northanger Abbey and Persuasion—were published. She also left behind two unfinished manuscripts, which have since been completed by admirers.
