Jan Dunlap is the author of the humorous Bob White Birder Murder Mysteries, which follow the escapades of high school counselor and expert birder Bob White, who has a knack for discovering bodies while birdwatching. Drawing from her passion for birds, her sharp ear for dialogue, and her concern for environmental issues, Jan creates stories that both entertain and inform; all six novels in the series to date have received nominations for the annual Minnesota Book Awards. With a readership spanning America and Europe, Jan’s unique style of humorous storytelling has garnered praise from both critics and readers of all ages. Her characters are inspired by real life and actual people; as a weekly humor columnist for local newspapers for many years, Jan honed her observational skills and understanding of human nature, which continue to attract new readers. A former college English professor, Jan holds two master’s degrees—one in English Studies from Minnesota State University-Mankato and another in Theology from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.
