Order of James Thompson Books

James Thompson (1964-2014) was an American-Finnish author known for his crime fiction novels, particularly the Inspector Vaara series. He was born and raised in eastern Kentucky but spent his final years in Finland, where he became fluent in the language after studying six languages. He also obtained a Master’s degree in English philology from the University of Helsinki. Thompson made his debut as a published novelist in 2009 with Snow Angels, and the last novel he completed was Helsinki Blood in 2013. At the time of his death, a fifth novel, Helsinki Dead, remained unfinished. Below is a list of James Thompson’s books in the order of their original release.
