James Sheehan is an American author known for his legal thriller novels, particularly the Jack Tobin series. Born and raised in New York City, he relocated to Florida in 1974 to pursue a legal career. His journey as a trial lawyer began in 1977 and spanned over three decades. In addition to his writing, Sheehan is a law professor at Stetson University College of Law and serves as the Director of the Tampa Law Center. He resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is a father of three, grandfather of five, and great-grandfather to one.
