James Runcie

James Runcie is an English author known for his mystery and historical fiction novels, particularly the Grantchester Mysteries series. In addition to writing, he is a documentary filmmaker, TV producer, and playwright. He is the son of Robert Runcie, the former Archbishop of Canterbury. Runcie attended Dragon School in Oxford, Marlborough College, and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, where he earned a first-class degree in English in 1981 and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has worked in radio drama for BBC Scotland and produced Arts, Music, and History TV shows for the BBC. He is married to theatre director and radio drama producer Marilyn Imrie. Runcie published his debut novel, The Discovery of Chocolate, in 2001. Below is a list of his books in the order of their initial release:
