Order of James McClure Books

James McClure was a British author and journalist who passed away in 2006. He was recognized for his work as a journalist with the Oxford Mail and Oxford Times, eventually becoming the editor of the latter. His debut book, The Steam Pig, won the CWA Gold Dagger award. After transitioning to full-time writing, he authored fourteen books and achieved significant success, but later felt a longing for journalism and returned to the field, starting from the ground up. He worked his way back up to editor, leading the Oxford Times to win the Weekly Newspaper of the Year award. McClure eventually became the editor of the Oxford Mail, where he worked for several years before retiring again to concentrate on writing, a pursuit he continued until his death.
