Order of James M. Cain Books

James M. Cain was an American author and journalist renowned for his role in establishing the roman noir genre. He penned several hard-boiled crime fiction novels, many of which were adapted into successful films. After being drafted, Cain served in the United States Army, spending the last year of World War I in France, where he contributed to an army magazine. Upon returning from the war, he worked as a journalist for several years. In 1934, he published his first novel, The Postman Always Rings Twice, which later became a classic film.
