Order of Ivan Doig Books

Ivan Doig was an American author renowned for his novels set in his home state of Montana, which celebrated the region's wilderness, landscape, and the lives of its post-war inhabitants. His works often depicted fur trappers, town builders, miners, and individuals from immigrant families, exploring their experiences in the West. Doig received the lifetime Distinguished Achievement award from the Western Literature Association in recognition of his remarkable career. Additionally, both a fiction and a non-fiction book of his were included in the San Francisco Chronicle’s list of the best books of the 20th century. Ivan passed away in 2015 and is survived by his wife, Carol.
