Ismée Amiel Williams is a writer of young adult contemporary novels and also works as a pediatric cardiologist. She spent 15 years training and practicing at Columbia University Medical Center in New York and currently practices at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. Ismée was inspired to become a writer while pregnant, after reading a YA novel that she loved and wanted to replicate, hoping to create something that would resonate with readers. Of Cuban descent, she incorporates Spanish phrases into her works. Ismée resides in New York City with her husband, three daughters, and dog.
