Order of Ibram X. Kendi Books

Ibram X. Kendi is an American professor and historian focused on race and discriminatory policies in the United States. He has authored several books, including How to Be an Antiracist, Antiracist Baby, and Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America. Kendi received the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 2016 for his work Stamped from the Beginning. In 2020, he was recognized as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. Born in the Jamaica Queens area of New York City, Kendi spent his early years there before his family relocated to Virginia for his high school education. He later attended Florida A&M University, where he obtained B.S. degrees in African American Studies and magazine production, and then went on to earn his Ph.D. in African American Studies from Temple University.
