Order of Ian Hamilton Books

Ian Hamilton is a Canadian crime fiction author known for the Ava Lee series. Before becoming a novelist, he worked as a journalist for various publications, including Maclean’s, Boston Magazine, Saturday Night, the Regina Leader-Post, the Calgary Albertan, and the Calgary Herald. He has also held senior executive positions in the Canadian government and served as a diplomat and businessman abroad. After experiencing a health scare that threatened his life, Ian began to develop the Ava Lee character, drawing inspiration from his business travels for the people and settings in the series. He resides in Burlington, Ontario, with his wife, Lorraine. Ian Hamilton published his first book, the non-fiction work The Children’s Crusade, in 1968, which remained his only publication for over 40 years.
