Hafsah Faizal is an American Muslim author who gained recognition with her debut novel, We Hunt The Flame, the first installment in the Sands of Arawiya series. Alongside her writing, she is a brand designer and the founder of IceyDesigns, a company that creates websites for authors and offers products for her clients. Faizal is also a gamer, enjoying titles like Assassin’s Creed and Skyrim. As a practicing Muslim, she wears a niqab. While the book is set in the Middle East, it is not intended to be political but rather a depiction of reality. She currently resides in Texas with her family after spending much of her life in California.
