Glendy Vanderah is an author from Chicago, known primarily for her debut novel, Where the Forest Meets the Stars, which achieved significant success upon its release. As a child, she dreamed of a career in biology. Vanderah pursued a degree in Ecology, Ethology, and Evolution at the University of Illinois in Urbana and later became a field biologist. Although she studied writing, her passion for birds ultimately took precedence. She has worked as a specialist in endangered birds and served as an assistant editor for a scientific journal. This experience rekindled her interest in writing, leading her to create her first novel, Where the Forest Meets the Stars.
