In addition to his writing, he has worked as a screenwriter for shows like Law & Order, Street Legal, and Night Heat. Blunt received the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel in 2004 for The Delicate Storm and the CWA Silver Dagger Award in 2001 for Forty Words for Sorrow.
