Gil Reavill

Gil Reavill is an American screenwriter, journalist, and author known for his many popular true crime novels, as well as historical works. In 2016, he co-authored Famous Nathan: A Family Saga of Coney Island, the American Dream, and the Search for the Perfect Hot Dog with Lloyd Handwerker. Reavill is also recognized for his fiction series, the 13 series featuring Layla Remington. He wrote the screenplay for the film Dirty, which starred Cuba Gooding Jr. and was directed by Chris Fisher. From 1998 to 2004, he contributed numerous true crime articles to GQ Magazine and has extensive experience as a ghostwriter. Born in Wisconsin, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison before transferring to the University of Colorado. He currently resides in New York with his wife and daughter.
