Order of Emily Kimelman Books

Emily Kimelman is the author of the Sydney Rye Mystery series, which began in 2011 with the publication of Unleashed. She had a distinctive upbringing, born in the United States before her family relocated to Moscow, where her father worked as a newspaper correspondent. Growing up, she was fluent in both English and Russian and discovered her passion for books at the age of ten, devouring mystery novels from authors like Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler. She later attended NYU, where she studied the history of forensic science, homicide, and detective fiction, always with the aspiration of becoming a writer. This journey ultimately led to the creation of the Sydney Rye Mystery series, marking the beginning of her literary career.
