Elise Hooper is an American author renowned for her novels, including Fast Girls and The Other Alcott. Raised in New England, she was an avid reader who loved authors such as Laura Ingalls Wilder and enjoyed series like the Chronicles of Narnia. Eventually, she moved to the West Coast to attend graduate school. After completing her degree, she taught high school English while writing on the side. She maintained this balance until she successfully published her work.
