Edwina Currie is an English author known for both fiction and non-fiction works. She is also a politician who represented Birmingham and served as a Member of Parliament for 14 years, during which she was part of Margaret Thatcher’s government in the Department of Health. In 1990, Edwina was recognized as Speaker of the Year and received the Campaigner of the Year award in 1994. After her time in public office, she transitioned to the BBC, working as a radio and TV presenter. Edwina made her authorial debut in 1989 with the non-fiction book Life Lines, followed by her first novel, A Parliamentary Affair, published in 1994.
