Order of Edward Rutherfurd Books

Edward Rutherfurd is the pseudonym of English author Francis Edward Wintle, known for his historical fiction. He studied at the University of Cambridge and Stanford Business School before pursuing a career as a political researcher, bookseller, and publisher. After several unsuccessful attempts to write a book or play, he left his career to return home and write his novel Sarum. Rutherfurd's novels are extensive, typically at least 500 pages long and sometimes over 1,000. His works have been translated into 20 languages. Edward divides his time between Europe and North America. He became a published author with Sarum: The Novel of England, which he wrote in 1983 but was not published until 1987.
