E.L. James is an English author who first published her work with the Fifty Shades erotic romance series in eBook format. The series quickly became popular and was subsequently released in paperback. A mother of two, E.L. James resides in West London. Prior to her writing career, she worked as a television executive. She is a passionate reader of romantic fiction and reportedly owns between 800 and 900 romance novels. Although her literary career is still relatively new, she is currently working on her next book.
