Dorothy St. James is the pseudonym of American author Dorothy McFalls, known for her cozy mystery novels. She is the creator of the Beloved Bookroom Mysteries, Southern Chocolate Shop Mysteries, and White House Gardener Mysteries series. Raised in South Carolina, Dorothy studied Wildlife Biology at the undergraduate level and earned a graduate degree in Public Administration and Urban Planning. Her career spanned various branches and levels of government, and her experiences in public service and community planning shaped her as a writer. Dorothy St. James made her debut in 2011 with the novel Flowerbed of State, which launched the White House Gardener Mysteries series.
