Donna Tartt is an American writer known for her literary fiction. She is the author of the novels The Secret History, The Little Friend, and The Goldfinch. In 2014, she received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the WH Smith Literary Award in 2003. Additionally, she was recognized as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in 2014. Tartt published her first novel, The Secret History, in 1992, followed by her second book, The Little Friend, a decade later. Her third novel, The Goldfinch, was released nine years after that.
