After studying Fashion Design, she lived in various places, including Tuscany, where she worked as an au pair for a countess, a hippie commune in Suffolk, and later Andalusia. Dinah experienced the tragic loss of her young son, which influences her writing. Her novels combine rich settings with themes of history and human nature. She resides in England with her husband.
