Dewey Lambdin is an American author known for his nautical and historical fiction. His main character, Alan Lewrie, is involved in the American Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. Lambdin, the son of a U.S. Navy officer, graduated from Montana State University and began his career in production for local television stations before moving into advertising. After losing his job, he turned to writing in 1988 and has continued to do so since. He published his first novel, The King’s Coat, in 1989, introducing the character of Alan Lewrie.
