Dean Lorey is an American author and screenwriter. In addition to his young adult book series, Nightmare Academy, Lorey has penned screenplays for films such as Major Payne, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, and My Boyfriend’s Back, and has contributed to the TV shows Arrested Development and My Wife and Kids. He resides in Calabasas, California, with his wife Elizabeth and their two sons. Dean Lorey published his first novel, Monster Hunters, in 2007, marking the start of his Nightmare Academy series.
