Order of David Nicholls Books

David Nicholls is a British author and screenwriter. He attended Toynbee Comprehensive School and Barton Peveril Sixth Form College before graduating from the University of Bristol, where he studied English Literature and Drama. After graduation, he received a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, then returned to London to obtain his Equity card. He spent several years pursuing a career as an actor, securing a position with the Royal National Theatre for three years, followed by a role as a script reader/researcher for BBC Radio Drama. Nicholls then took on more script editing jobs and began writing, including an original sitcom script titled “Waiting,” which was optioned by the BBC. After the adaptation of the stage play Simpatico into a feature film, he transitioned to writing full-time. Nicholls published his first novel, Starter for Ten, in 2003.
