Order of David Housewright Books

David Housewright is an American crime fiction author known for the Mac McKenzie and Holland Taylor series. He was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he served as the editor of his high school newspaper until he was dismissed for an editorial opposing the Vietnam War. He earned a Journalism degree from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to his writing career, Housewright worked as a copywriter for various advertising agencies in the Twin Cities and as a journalist for publications such as the Minneapolis Tribune, Albert Lea Evening Tribune, and Grand Forks Herald. He resides in Roseville, Minnesota, with his wife, fellow writer Renee Marie Valois. Housewright published his first novel, Penance, in 1995, which introduced the Holland Taylor character and won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel in 1996, also receiving a Shamus Award nomination.
