Order of David Freed Books

David Freed is an American author renowned for creating the Cordell Logan book series. A lifelong writer, he previously worked as an investigative journalist for the Los Angeles Times, engaged in screenwriting, and served as an asset to U.S. Intelligence. Born on an Air Force base in the South to a police officer, he grew up in the Rocky Mountains. Although he initially considered medical school, he soon recognized his true calling in writing. Throughout his journalism career, he reported from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq, and later contributed to a Pulitzer Prize-winning team. Freed is a licensed pilot and owns a Piper Cherokee. In addition to writing, he serves as a contributing editor for Air & Space Smithsonian magazine and is an assistant professor of journalism at Colorado State University. He resides in Colorado and California with his wife and children.
