David Dickinson is an Irish writer known for his historical mystery novels. He is the author of the Lord Francis Powercourt series and a series featuring the Mycroft Holmes character, originally created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. After obtaining a first-class honours degree in Classics from the University of Cambridge, David worked for the BBC, where he served as the editor for Newsnight, Panorama, and Monarchy (as a series editor). He resides in London, England. David Dickinson published his first novel, Goodnight, Sweet Prince, in 2002.
