Curtis C. Chen

Curtis C. Chen is a Taiwanese-American writer known for his science fiction and fantasy novels, including the Kangaroo series. Before pursuing a career as a novelist, he worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley. His short stories have been featured in various publications, such as Playboy Magazine, Daily Science Fiction, Mission: Tomorrow, and Oregon Reads Aloud. He is an alumnus of the Clarion West and Viable Paradise writers’ workshops and currently resides near Portland, Oregon. Chen made his authorial debut in 2016 with the novel Waypoint Kangaroo, which was nominated for the Locus and Endeavour awards in 2017.
