Order of Chris Laing Books

Chris Laing is a Canadian author renowned for his work in the detective genre. He is the creator of the Max Dester Mystery series, with the inaugural book, A Private Man, published in 2012. This book was a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Crime First Novel. Laing hails from Hamilton, Ontario, where he spent many years in private business. Following his career in that sector, he transitioned to the Federal Public Service, working in the Department of the Secretary of State, Citizenship Branch, and the National Museums of Canada. He currently resides in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
