Chris Hammer is an Australian author with over 30 years of experience as a journalist. He has worked in various roles, including at SBS TV’s Dateline, as the chief political correspondent for The Bulletin, and as a senior political journalist for The Age. While he had published some non-fiction, Scrublands marked his debut novel. Hammer enjoyed a distinguished career as a journalist, reporting from over thirty countries across six continents as a foreign correspondent. He also covered Australian national politics for television, newspapers, and magazines. Following the release of his first novel, he transitioned to writing fiction full-time.
