Catherine Ryan Howard is an Irish author who made a significant impact with her debut thriller, Distress Signals. The book achieved great success upon its release, appearing on both the Irish Times and USA Today bestsellers lists. It was also nominated for the CWA John Creasey/New Blood Dagger and the Books Are My Bag Irish Crime Novel of the Year, and it won the Best Mystery award at the Independent Press Awards.
