Casey McQuiston is an American author of romance novels, renowned for her debut work, Red, White & Royal Blue, published in 2019. The novel tells the story of the son of the first female President of the United States who falls in love with the prince of England. Upon its release, the book received positive acclaim, earning Casey a 2020 Alex Award. It also won the Best Debut Novel and Best Romance Novel categories at the 11th Annual Goodreads Choice Awards. Casey grew up in southern Louisiana and later attended Louisiana State University, where she obtained a degree in journalism. After graduating, she worked in magazine publishing before transitioning to writing novels. McQuiston currently resides in New York City.
