Caroline Graham is an English author known for her mystery novels, as well as her work as a playwright and screenwriter. She is the creator of the Chief Inspector Barnaby series, which was adapted into the television series Midsomer Murders. Born in Nuneaton, England, Caroline attended Open University and the University of Birmingham, where she earned her MA. Her novel The Killings at Badger’s Drift was recognized as one of the Top 100 Crime Novels of All Time by the Crime Writers’ Association and won the 1989 Macavity Award for Best First Novel. Caroline lives in Suffolk, England. She published her first book, the romance novel Fire Dance, in 1982, before transitioning to mystery novels.
