Bill Noel is an American author renowned for the Folly Beach Mystery series, which commenced in 2007 with the publication of its first book, Folly. The series has seen a new installment released each year since then. Noel resides in Louisville, Kentucky, where he writes and lives with his wife, Susan. He embarked on his writing journey at the age of 59, having long desired to write but only finding inspiration during a trip to Folly Beach with his wife. The first book is inspired by a true event, as they discovered a body on the beach during that visit. Several titles in the Folly Beach Mystery series have received accolades, including multiple Imadjinn Awards for Best Mystery Novel at the Imaginarium Convention.
