Bill Beverly is an American writer known for his crime fiction and non-fiction works. He was raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and attended Kalamazoo Central High School. He pursued higher education at Oberlin College and the University of Florida, where he obtained his Ph.D. in American literature. Currently, he teaches American literature and writing at Trinity University in Washington, D.C. Bill resides in Hyattsville, Maryland, with his wife, poet and writer Deborah Ager. He made his authorial debut in 2003 with the non-fiction book On the Lam and published his first novel, Dodgers, in 2016, which won the CWA Gold Dagger for the best crime novel of the year.
