B.K. Stevens (1951-2017) was an American writer known for her mystery novels and short stories. Her life goals were to teach and write, both of which she achieved. Although she began writing at a young age, she set it aside to pursue her studies in literature, earning a Ph.D. in English from Boston College. She then taught at various colleges and universities across six states. Her passion for writing was reignited after reading Gaudy Night by Dorothy L. Sayers, which motivated her to explore mystery writing. She was married and had two adult daughters. Stevens made her novel debut in 2015 with Interpretation of Murder, having previously published over thirty short stories in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine. Below is a list of B.K.
