Anne Griffin

Anne Griffin is a highly accomplished writer, but she published her first novel, When All Is Said, in 2019. The book was released by Sceptre in the UK and Ireland and by Thomas Dunne Books in the US and Canada. Born in Dublin in 1969, she grew up there and attended UCD, where she earned a BA in History. She then spent eight years working for Waterstone’s Booksellers in Dublin and London. After leaving, she pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Community and Youth Work at Maynooth University. With a strong passion for charity, she worked for various organizations, including Women’s Aid, Youth Work Ireland, and the Dyslexia Association of Ireland. In 2013, she began writing and enrolled in a Creative Writing course at UCD. Her work earned her the John McGahern Award for Literature, which helped guide her career. She was also shortlisted for the Hennessy New Irish Writing Awards, the Sunday Business Post Short Story Award for ‘Some Tiny Clue,’ and the Benedict Kiely Competition with ‘Mr. Henry.’ Prior to her first novel, she had numerous short stories published.
