Ann Davila Cardinal

Ann Dávila Cardinal is a novelist known for her YA supernatural thrillers. She hails from a family of writers, including poets Virgilio and José Antonio Dávila, and her cousin, fiction author Tere Dávila. Ann holds a B.A. in Latino Studies from Norwich University, an M.A. in sociology from UI&U, and an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA). She played a key role in launching VCFA’s winter Writing residency in Puerto Rico and currently serves as the Director of Recruitment for VCFA. Residing in Vermont, Ann enjoys needle-felting tiny reading creatures and cycling throughout the year. She published her first novel, Sister Chicas (co-authored with Lisa Alvarado and Jane Alberdeston Coralin), in 2006, followed by her first solo novel, Five Midnights, in 2019.
