Amy Engel is an American author known for her YA dystopian fiction, particularly the Book of Ivy series. Born in Kansas, she spent her childhood in various countries, including Iran and Taiwan, as well as different states before settling in Kansas City, Missouri, where she resides with her husband and two children. Prior to becoming a full-time writer and mother, Amy worked as a criminal defense attorney, which is less glamorous than it appears on television.
