Order of Alka Joshi Books

Alka Joshi is an Indian-American author renowned for her debut novel, The Henna Artist, which is the first book in a trilogy. This novel was selected as a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick and has been optioned for a film adaptation. Joshi was born in Rajasthan, India, and her family immigrated to the United States in 1967. She later attended Stanford University, where she received her BA, and then pursued her MFA at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. Prior to the publication of The Henna Artist, Alka operated an advertising and marketing agency for 30 years.
