Order of Alan Bradley Books

Alan Bradley is a Canadian mystery novelist. During his high school years, he preferred reading in the cemetery over socializing. He spent 25 years as the Director of Television Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan before transitioning to a full-time writing career. Initially, he attempted to write screenplays, but after the 2003 Okanagan Mountain Park Fire affected nearby homes, he shifted to memoir writing. In 2007, he penned 15 pages about the character who would later become Flavia de Luce for a contest, which he won. Alan Bradley published his first book, the non-fiction Ms. Holmes of Baker Street, in 1980, but it took nearly 30 years for his first novel, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, to be published.
