Adam Sternbergh is a Canadian-American thriller novelist and a contributing editor at New York magazine and Vulture. He previously served as the culture editor for The New York Times Magazine. His debut series, Spademan, is a future-noir thriller that centers on a garbageman turned hitman in a dystopian New York City. Originally from Toronto, Adam now lives in Brooklyn, New York with his family. He published his first novel, Shovel Ready, in 2014, which was recognized as a Newsweek Favorite Book of 2014, a Booklist Best Crime Novel, and Best Crime Debut of 2014, and was longlisted for the John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger by the Crime Writers’ Association.
