Adam Brookes is a British author known for his spy thriller novels, particularly the Philip Mangan series. Although he was born in Canada, he was raised in Oxfordshire, England. After studying Chinese at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, he pursued a career in journalism, working as a now-defunct “copytaster” for the BBC, a radio producer, and ultimately a foreign correspondent. His work has taken him to Indonesia, China, and the U.S., and he has reported from around 30 different countries.
